Supplement information

Individualized care

Naturopathic vitamins, minerals, supplements and herbs

Products are considered in the context of your health history, medications, symptoms, goals, and the evidence available. Supplements are not right for everyone and may interact with medicines or other products.

If a product is recommended as part of your care, your clinician will explain its intended use, the suggested dose and duration, relevant cautions, cost, and reasonable alternatives. You can ask questions before deciding.

What we consider

A product should fit the care plan

Product decisions are individualized. Your clinician may consider the ingredient and dose, the reason for use, available quality information, allergies, possible interactions, and whether the expected benefit justifies the cost. Third-party testing and certification vary by product; ask what information is available for a specific item.

Your choice

Where to purchase

You may obtain a recommended product from a pharmacy, health-food store, or retailer of your choice. The places below are examples in the region, not a complete directory or an endorsement. Availability, brands, and formulations can change. Choosing a different retailer—or deciding not to purchase a product—does not affect your care.

This list is not exhaustive. If you find a different product or formulation, bring the label or product details to your appointment so your care team can review it with you.
