CALL 416-591-1535 to BOOK an appointment with Dr. Tanya Wylde, ND

What to Expect

Prior to your first visit

Please fill out the very thorough intake forms through JANE EMR (our confidential online electronic medical records) that you will receive through an email in addition to the 3 consent forms.  By filling out these forms before your first visit, Dr. Tanya can be more efficient with her assessment, diagnostics and recommendations.

First Visit

All visits are being booked virtually with Dr. Tanya Wylde, ND; since the COVID-19 Pandemic; March 13th 2020.

For your first visit please record any supplements or medications you are currently taking and scan in and send us copies of any blood tests or scans (ultrasound/CT/MRI etc) you may have pertaining to your health or chief health concerns so that we can scan them into your EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and review them with you on your first visit.   As a naturopathic doctor I am trained to interpret labs and other imaging assessments and my interpretations of your results may be slightly different than your family doctor.  You will spend about 60-75 minutes on your initial visit with Dr Wylde, during which time we will review your chief concerns, your personal and family history.  Dr. Tanya may recommend further blood work or other specialized tests (through Life Labs, Rocky Mountain Analytical or ICL Integrative Laboratory Services) to determine the underlying cause of your concerns or to determine if you have any nutrient deficiencies or hormonal imbalances.    She may recommend particular physical examination components including but not limited to Thyroid exams, Breast exams, PAP exams and Digital Rectal Exams be performed by your MD or specialist.  (She is currently only working virtually otherwise she is also skilled in these assessments.) She would also like a baseline of your weight in pounds to be measured the morning of your first naturopathic medicine consultation.    At the end of each visit she will summarize her recommendations in the form of naturoapthic  plan of action, which will be uploaded into the JANE electronic medical system (EMR) for your viewing online.   If you are a patient Dr. Tanya’s at the Woodbridge location, please click WOODBRIDGE-EMR and if you are a patient of Dr. Tanya’s her Toronto location, please click TORONTO-EMR for access to the JANE EMR (electronic medical records) portal where you will have access to your ongoing plans/records and lab results.   Your plan of action will include health goals, nutrition recommendations/dietary prescriptions, herbal/supplemental recommendations, lifestyle and exercise suggestions and any further laboratory testing recommendations.  In some cases Dr. Tanya may refer you to other practitioners for a more comprehensive treatment approach.

Follow up visits:

Typically, Dr. Tanya will ask you to follow up within 2-6 weeks of the initial (75 minute) visit for a 2nd visit (45 minutes long) to review any completed testing and make a revised plan of action depending on test results and the subjective (how YOU feel) outcome of the initial treatment plan.   Third visits and all subsequent follow up visits are 30 minutes, (unless you request a longer visit or require more in-depth counseling ), and are usually once every month to 3-4 months depending on your treatment outcome and your needs.  The frequency of virtual appointments are decided by both the practitioner AND you (the patient), together.

You can contact us between office visits by email for short and quick inquiries, however since Dr. Wylde is very busy seeing patients during the day-time hours and has only a limited time in the evening away from her family for email replies she highly encourages her patients to compile a list of questions and bring them in to follow up visits at which point she will be more than happy to answer them in detail.  She cannot make any guarantee that she will answer your emails unless otherwise specified in an appointment.  The caveat to this is that in some cases she may receive an email from a patient and prefer to answer their question(s) via a proper appointment during her office hours in which case she will ask her receptionist to book a follow up visit for which the patient will be billed for as per her usual follow up fees.  Dr. Tanya Wylde works hard to make sure all of her patient’s concerns are being met because she knows that you will work hard to get better and to follow her recommendations.

Dr. Tanya is very excited to help you on your journey to wellness.   Please call her receptionist to book your initial consultation by clicking HERE  to book your initial consultation.  If for some reason, you leave a message and don’t hear back from one of her staff within 1 business day, please send an email directly to Tanya at and she will alert one of the staff to call you immediately with an available appointment time.

Please go to the fee guide section of the website under “New Patients”.  Most extended health insurance plans do cover Naturopathic medical services.   Some examples are Sun Life, Blue Cross, Great-West Life, Green Shield, London Life and many other insurance providers. Please note: *Costs of all lab tests and treatment recommendations such as supplements are additional to the cost of the visit.

Cancellation policy:

We require 72 hours notice (3 business days) to cancel or reschedule new patient appointments.  This is because a new patient booking is 1.5 hours long.  In order to offer this to another patient, it is often necessary for that patient to rearrange their schedule.  Three business days (72 hours) allows enough time for this process to occur smoothly and have the space filled with a patient who has been waiting for an appointment time. All patients must submit a valid credit card number prior to their first appointment in order to secure their first appointment.   Alternatively you can pay ahead of time if you don’t have a mastercard to secure your spot.  We require 24 hours notice to change or cancel follow-up appointment times.  Your time has been reserved just for you and other patients may be waiting for an opening.  The full visit fee will be strictly charged for cancellations if Dr. Tanya’s staff is not given sufficient time as outlined above.   Thank you kindly for your understanding!
